Stiff Upper Lip Lyrics
I was out on a drive on a bit of a trip
lookin for thrills to get me some kicks
now I warn you ladies I shoot from the hip
I was born with a stiff
stiff upper lip
like a dog in a howl
I bite everything
I'm big and I'm drawl
and I'll ball your thing
I keep a Stiff Upper Lip
and I shoot from the hip
I keep a Stiff Upper Lip
and I shoot from the hip
I'm working it out
and I've done evrything
I cant reform
can you feel my sting
I keep a Stiff Upper Lip
and I shoot from the hip
I keep a Stiff Upper Lip
and I shoot from the hip
I'm out on the prowl
and I'll ball your thing
got teeth that'll bite you
can you feel that sting
I keep a Stiff Upper Lip
and I shoot from the hip
I keep a Stiff Upper Lip
and I shoot from the hip
Stiff Upper Lip
lookin for thrills to get me some kicks
now I warn you ladies I shoot from the hip
I was born with a stiff
stiff upper lip
like a dog in a howl
I bite everything
I'm big and I'm drawl
and I'll ball your thing
and I shoot from the hip
I keep a Stiff Upper Lip
and I shoot from the hip
and I've done evrything
I cant reform
can you feel my sting
and I shoot from the hip
I keep a Stiff Upper Lip
and I shoot from the hip
and I'll ball your thing
got teeth that'll bite you
can you feel that sting
and I shoot from the hip
I keep a Stiff Upper Lip
and I shoot from the hip

Stiff Upper Lip means like to show no emotion or to not cry. For example if something very upsetting has happened, and you're nearly going to cry someone might say "Keep a stiff upper lip".
AC/DC ROCK!!!!!!!
This bluesy groove has a killer riff that really gets me moving, and the lyrics remind me somewhat of the wandering cowboy lifestyle. The phrase “keep a stiff upper lip” means to remain cool and tenacious even when under pressure. Additionally, the expression “shoot from the hip” means to act quickly and impulsively, like a gunfighter in a shootout. As is common with AC/DC, it’s also obviously about fast and free sex. Ultimately, I really like the way this song comes together, and the guitar work is top-notch blues rock with a fine solo to boot!

NOOOOOObody's commented on it?? i like the part when he goes, i was born with a stiff, paause a stiff uppper lip...
How am I only the second comment on this thing? God! this is the best song off that album! It's got a great groove that just makes you wanna....groove. Just try to listen to it and not move, it's impossible. Brian does a tremendous job of singing as usual, and this is easily one of AC/DC's best.
It was late on a Saturday night. My wife had already gone to bed, and my young son had been asleep for a while already. I was half dozing on the couch, and thinking of hitting the hay myself. Saturday Night Live was just coming on. "Musical Guests...... AC/DC!" Having been a fan of the band for 20+ years and having had lost touch with them, I was now wide awake. "Fuck!" I thought, "Wow! It would be GREAT to see them!". Went, fixed myself a sandwich, and was all set... Got through the pre-requisite 7 or 8 comedy sketches. "The Rock" came out.... "Ladies and Gentlemen... AC/DC!" Angus' loud, unmistakable rough riff started. "Wow, Brian has put on a few pounds..". "I was out on a drive, on a bit of a trip, lookin' for thrills, ta get me some kicks... Now I warn you ladies, I shoot from the hip, I was born with a stiff (sniff), stiff upper lip". BAM! Phil kicked in, Angus' head rocketed back, the ballcap flew off and all I could think of was "Hot.... Holy.....Shit. Look at the receding hairline on ol' ANGUS!" He looked like someone's weird uncle or something. But you know what? Didn't matter one iota. They rocked heavier than anything out at the time, and anything out now. I've the feeling somehow, that if Angus is ever confined to a wheelchair in his old age, they better have more wheelchairs, because, he is going to wear a lot of them out. And I'll still love them. Rock on, and rock on forever.....
The best one on the Album, but not acdc's not by far..
Is there any other band, in the history of Rock n' Roll, that could go roughly 30 years without making a major variation of their original sound, and still rock as hard as AC/DC? I never get tired of their sound, (with the exception of a few albums... ballbreaker) from Bon to Brian.
When you absolutely have to rock, accept no substitute.
That's true. Even though we know it's all the same, there's something about that sound which makes us come back.
