if you heard any led zep song, you'd realize that this sounds nothing like them. Anyway, this song is about suicide, i think

these lines explain that

christ people, it's not about being nicer to your fellow man. "people don't even know me, but they know how to show me" isn't empathy; it's bitter and dejected. He's lonely and wants to die, and wants everyone to know he's unhappy. It's probably about a girl.

i like this song a lot. the rhyming is very nice

so he jumps off a bridge and still no one cares about him

the last verse is the only suicidal one, and I think the line "well the wind is blowing, where am I going?" refers to the lifelong question about whether you go to hell or heaven when you commit suicide.
