This Town Lyrics

There's this town called heaven where
Someone makes everything seem all right
But you have to stay there with her
For the rest of your life

[Chorus:]

I'm drivin', I'm drivin'
To the end of the road, I'm drivin'
I've been driven, driven
To the end of my road

Passing your town ahead
Straight to that junction for hell
Oh, I won't bother to pick you up
You'll get there all by yourself

[REPEAT CHORUS]

There's this place where
The borders of each town touch
I know that place all too well
If you stand just right, stand just right
One foot in heaven, one in hell
That's how I live my life
That's how I live my life
That's not how I wanna die
Thar's not how I wanna die
In my time of dying (4x)

There's this town called heaven
And there's this town called hell
Gonna keep on goin'
Won't stop 'till I've found something else

[REPEAT CHORUS]

The only bad thing about this song is it makes the rest of the album that it comes first on seem not really worth listening to.

The rest of the album is excellent, even if this is the best song. "Unwind" is so great. The lyrics to this are so clever though, once you really listen to them. "Passing your town, I head straight to that junction for Hell. I won't bother to pick you up -- you'll get there all by yourself." He's saying he wants to give her Hell, but he knows she'll go there when she dies anyway. Genius, says I!
