This song does not seem very uplifting to me. Anyways, I think this song revolves around the idea of trust, as well as a test of how much (if at all) the girl really loves him.
I love thiss song, I haven't thought about the meaning of the lyrics, but the melody and all is so happy! Or maybe not happy, but at least uplifting..:) By the way...how come so many of my fave songs say things like "I'm a freak" or, as here, "I'm insane"..? lol
