The Ol' Beggars Bush Lyrics
haha, i knew someone would think that was "Cobain." you don't have to think very long to realize it can't be...i figured Killer Kolbain was maybe a guy who beat him up in high school, or something to that effect. upon closer inspection, a lot of these lyrics are wrong. i'm going to post correct ones.
I think this song is just a few stories about people who have had a lot of misfortunes in their life. "Ol' Nick" sounds like another name for the devil, who seems to be laughing at all of the bad things that happen to these people. Basically, it's a song about people with bad luck and bad lives.
On another note, this is truly an awesome song, my personal favorite by FM. It's the traditional Irish story-telling style fused with rock, giving it a unique sound that makes the band original and awesome.
This song is about the tenement building that Dave King grew up in (an old Army barracks named Beggar's Bush), and the people mentioned in it are people from his past...
i believe that "killer kilbain" is a metaphor for life because life always kicks you around and treats you like hell like a bully would.
can someone fill me in on who killer kilbain is??
Isn't this called the O'l beggar's bush?
i think this is the best song by flogging molly, i think that killer kilbain is probobly a character in some irish fable, flogging molly seems to use alot of things of that such. or there just drunk
this song has nothing to do with curt cobain........its killer kolbain wich is most likely a irish fable character, and yes this song is called ol beggers bush
Lyric title corrected.
