this song to me is about a simple person,the metaphor being from a trailer,white trash folks are down to earth,never expectiing to much from life ,but being appreciative for things they have,keepin it on an even keel,when its all said and done,double wide is the way to be

I think it's about being stuck in the same life he can't get out of, sometimes feeling like he's wasting his life away, other times thinking it's not so bad, and fucking the same fuck-buddy who keeps coming back around. Maybe an ex-girlfriend. Doublewide is white trash living in a doublewide trailer, but it's also sexual term. I'd bet Pepper was going for a double meaning to the song, hence the appeal of writing the lyrics. Doublewide in a doublewide.

My Interpretation

I think Doublewide means living on both side of life, doing the bad and good. When the day is done he/she repents for all the wrong that has been done. If living this way brings and an untimely death they have no regrets because overall they focus on the good parts of their life.
