"glass"...obviously about meth.
It's not about meth. I'm not entirely sure meth was referred to as "glass" back then. I was 8 when it came out. Ian often said that most of his songs were written subconsciously and had no clear meaning. They were pieced together from several different scribblings. Obviously, some of them clearly did have a specific meaning. I guess it means whatever you want it to, but young people having sex for the first time sounds plausible. That's pretty amusing though.
