Fun Loving Nun Lyrics
She's not quite like the conventional sister
No, she's not
I've never seen her frown or hold her head down
I've never heard her say, "I'm bored" or, "Get away"
I tip-top-topple over for my fun loving nun
Because she has so much fun, has so much joy
And so much wonderful love for everyone
She's not like an ordinary person
No, she's not
She turns a lonely room into a happy place
Transforms a grumpy look into a smiling face
Some of us get covered up by the world
Become bitter from our loneliness and forget our dreams
But she takes notice of the beauty everywhere
And wherever she finds herself, she feels peaceful there
I tip-top-topple over for my fun loving nun
Because she has so much fun, has so much joy
And so much wonderful love for everyone
No, she's not
I've never seen her frown or hold her head down
I've never heard her say, "I'm bored" or, "Get away"
Because she has so much fun, has so much joy
And so much wonderful love for everyone
No, she's not
She turns a lonely room into a happy place
Transforms a grumpy look into a smiling face
Become bitter from our loneliness and forget our dreams
But she takes notice of the beauty everywhere
And wherever she finds herself, she feels peaceful there
Because she has so much fun, has so much joy
And so much wonderful love for everyone

I wish I knew a fun loving nun.
i think everyone does. this is really one of their giddiest songs.
I don't remember writing that.
i really enjoy this one as you can see by my name. its my user name for everything these days. but this song i enjoy going around the house singing in a very bad cracky high pitched voice. it just brings joy, you know? its about how wonderfully fun this lady is and she brings joy to everyone, including me!
I read somewhere he went to Catholic school... maybe has to do with it...
ahhhhhhh!! uplifting song indeed. I don't take the "nun" character literally, but instead look at it in a more symbolic almost metaphorical way. The nun could symbolize optimism, or a character in ones self that " has so much joy and so much wonderful love for everyone".
Love this song, very whimsical but still meaningful. Barnes is the master of that art. Reminds me also of some 60's era Rolling Stones songs.
