Your picture
Is still
On my wall
On my wall
The colors
Are bright
Bright
As ever
The red is strong
The blue is true
Some things last a long time
Some things last a long time your picture

Is still
On my wall
On my wall
I think
About you
Often
Often

I can't forget all the things we did
Some things last a long time
Some things last a long time it's funny
But it's true
And it's true
But it's not funny
Time comes and goes
All the while
I still think of you
Some things last a long time
Your picture

Is still
On my wall
On my wall
The colors
Are bright
Bright
As ever

Times that we shared
All that we forget
Some things last a life time
Some things last a life time

i just found this band and i really like this song. i agree with A Raging Bull. everyone sees everyone in a different light. Even though you can share the same general opinion of people you can never feel exactly the same way someone else does about a specific person. you dont love your mom like your dad does and you don't think of your best friend the same way you think of your girlfriend or boyfriend. There are people you hate that others like and vice versa. its just how life works and this song explains it in a very simple way.

This is a really beautiful song, I love it. Doug is an extremely talented guy, and BTS rocks. Life is all summed up in this song, opinions..how we see and feel about others and the differences in those feelings and opinions.

This is a very poignant song about the perceptions of people from others; and how that will never be the whole truth. People have a social facade and that facde in many ways lends itself to who the person actually is, but there are many things hidden that only the person can see; but the longing from others to know, wholly and truly, who another person is...seems almost impossible to know without having to be them.

Its about how you appear, in some or most ways, different to every person you know; friends, family, acquaintances. Everyone has a slightly different opinion of you, which leads you to question what your really like, or who you really are. Your sense of identity is compromised. Every new day you observe and question yourself. One of my favorite built to spill songs because i can completely relate to it.

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
