Nowhere Nothin' Fuckup Lyrics
been nowhere he's done nothing
probably not even a shirt on his back
ain't got nothing at all
say a word for Ginger Brown
walks around with his head down
they took the shoes from his feet
threw the poor boy out in the street
nowhere nothin' fuckup
nowhere nothin' fuckup
nowhere nothin'
nowhere nothin' now
she can't tell the night from the day
they threw her out in the street
just like a cat she landed on her feet
and say a word for Charlie Brown
ain't got nothin' at all
everyday she falls in love and
every night she falls and when she does
it's with a nowhere nothin' fuckup
nowhere nothin' fuckup
nowhere nothin' fuckup
nowhere nothin'
nowhere nothin' now
nowhere nothin' fuckup
nowhere nothin' fuckup
nowhere nothin'
nowhere nothin' now
in America
every puddle
gasoline rainbow
in America
every puddle
gasoline rainbow
in America
every puddle
gasoline rainbow

no comments on one of the two best songs from Built to SPills first albums?
well I like this song. its cool. I love it.
that word was supposed to be album.
i love this song as well, equally surprised there aren't more comments.
always makes me a bit sad and reminds me of teenage friends i had/have who just didn't have any luck.
I found out a very weird coincidence/inspiration: in Philip K. Dick's book, "Flow my Tears, the Policeman said", the main character is Jason Taverner, a singer. His biggest hit is a song by the same name. The book was published in 1975, by the way.
yea they got the name from the Phillip K. Dick book
i love this song, but it's funny how much has been revealed to be taken from something else the more i look into it.
the lyrics are all from "oh! sweet nuthin" by the velvet underground, and the title/chorus is from that philip k. dick book.
from the first listen though i should have suspected this, none of the lyrics really sound like doug's usual style. it's still a cool song
the song is kind of ordinary for the 3 1/2 minutes or so, but when the coda kicks in.. wow.
takes the song to incredible heights
