Peking Saint Lyrics
in peking there
is a son who
is much greater
than you want to be
carnival arms have
a medical wonder
who would guess that
it was not a real body part
in peking there
there is a mother
who is laden
with who she has to be
carnival arms have
a medical wonder
who would guess that
it was not a real body part
in peking there
is a someone who
is who they should
exactly be
is a son who
is much greater
than you want to be
a medical wonder
who would guess that
it was not a real body part
there is a mother
who is laden
with who she has to be
a medical wonder
who would guess that
it was not a real body part
is a someone who
is who they should
exactly be

I think there are some lines here that point to a person dealing with issues surrounding their transsexuality.
@pollutedmind not sure if I agree (yet, but I’m gonna chew on it), but art is subjective, and I think it’s a cool and interesting take either way

I love this track. The way she says "medical wonder". It makes me wonder about medical things.
I think by 'Peking Saint' she is referring to the Peking Man - the earliest human fossils ever found. I like how she uses Saint to juxtapose the religious and the scientific (these fossils kind of contradict the teachings of the bible, etc.). But Moon Pix is in my opinion a very religious album, almost every track pines for God, hence "was not a real body part". I think this song is about celebrity or vanity - Chan's saying no matter what you achieve in your life or how important you think you are, the Peking Saint will be known forever.
i tend to think of moonpix as one whole seamless piece, rather than individual songs. but this track never seemed to fit the rest of the album-- it's not as atmospheric or lush as the rest and kind of stands alone. i, um, usually don't play it.
