its all about being anxious about some situation, im pretty sure a romantic situation, some one is afraid of fucking it all up, they are unsure of what to do. they dont even know what they are doing together. they are afraid to open up

"Together or alone/I'm not afraid of being alone." I think that one line sums up the whole song. It is definitely about fear of opening up yourself completely to another person. I always thought it's a companion piece to "Not a Friend" from earlier on the album.
