Fall Again Lyrics

How could you say there's nothing
How could you say what's right
How could you say there's nothing
When everything's so right
There's not much that's left unsaid and I can't even tell what's real
Now as the blood drips from your arm to me it starts to take me from this place
Fall again
I can dream again
Fall again so far from myself and everything

How could you say there's nothing
How could you say what's right
What do you need to feel this
What do you think is right
It spins so fast I can not see far past this world you made for me
It starts to feel so cold I do not know if this is what I need
Fall again
I can dream again
Fall again so far from myself and everything

Hard to believe no one's commented on this excellent song!

Well in any case, here's my take on it. The person narrating the song is in a relationship with someone who says there's "nothing" to their love anymore and feels that it's "wrong" in some way. The narrator definitely doesn't feel that way - he's drawn into the mystique of his lover, spinning in "this world you made for me" whenever they're together.

There may also be an element of S&M/vampirism in this song in the line "Now as the blood drips from your arm to me..." Perhaps the narrator is obsessed with this activity, but it's scaring his lover. He's loving it so much and he's desperate for her to "feel this", the same way that he does. But then he realizes she doesn't love him anymore and "it starts to feel so cold" and he doesn't know what he needs anymore.

In a nutshell, I think this is all about fantasy. Imagining (hence the 'dream again') what your relationship should be, falling away from reality.

i think its not about love, but maybe the narrator singing to someone who is committing suicide?

'how can you say theres nothing' sounds like the person is telling the narrator about how their life is nothing.

'Now as the blood drips from your arm to me it starts to take me from this place' maybe this is after the person takes their life, their blood falls on the narrator...

i could be totally wrong, just throwing this out to see what u guys think.

Those are good points but I'm thinking it's about drugs. I know a lot of people say that about rock songs but This is what I see.

giving into drugs and experiencing the effects, running from problems with a high.

also seems like an arguing conscience over the choice. Or talking to a friend.

the blood on arm reference could be from shooting up.

Love PMM :D

I agree with Tinafeygirl...... but the part that talks about the blood dripping from their arm, i think that means that the narrator is holding on to them to tight, and doesn't want to lose them, that it's hurting the other person, and they start to relize what they are doing, and lose what they originally felt for that person.

I could be wrong but that's how i interpret it....
