Shirts And Gloves Lyrics
When I'm back from the road then you're out on it and i'm tired of this distance and I believe it's over, it's over-rated.
And this phone tag game is endless the novelty is wearing I'm hoping time will pass without any assistance or convincing.
Road rules apply there's so much action, you're getting busy.
I'll call your cellular phone to tell you TV night was lonely without you and so am I... so am I.
It seems our day keeps falling on a leap year.
So many high points on this last leg.
I can't wait to recount them it seems like nothing's happened until I've shared them with you.
That note that you had called says you're half a day away and you are heading home just in time for me, for me to leave. Road rules apply there's so much action I'm getting busy.
So make sure that I'm up to date on TV night, I hate to miss out.
I think I miss you most on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
It seems our day keeps falling on a leap year.

VERY GOOD SONG, I KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE TO HAVE DISTANCE BETWEEN YOU AND A GIRL.
j-carr
why is this song so beautiful? that line where he says "i think i miss you most..." I just cry everytime. He sings it like he means it. (I think thats why I like dashboard so much...)
this song always hits a chord with me (haha, no pun intended) because this past summer i was traveling a lot visiting colleges and my bf was here at home and i missed him sooo much...everything in the song fit with that situation so perfectly.... :*(
this song makes me cream my pants everytime i hear it. Dashboard just knows how to hit that spot that puts shivers down my spine and this song is definately no exception

I actually went to Dashboard's concert in November. Chris said that this song is about a really hard long distance relationship that eventually ended. But they shared something special...she used to make him watch Dawson's Creek every Wednesday. That is why he says "I think I miss you most on Wednesdays..." After they broke up, she would still make sure he was "up to date on TV night"
I connect with this song so closely that it's almost kind of scary. Just my whole situation that I've been in for the past two years is exactly this song. I mean, even the "I miss you most on Wednesday and Saturday" line matches exactly. This is a gorgeous, gorgeous song. I love it.
i rather feel this song than looking at it laterally, it really makes me think of her when i hear this song. It's the feeling when you are in a relationship with a girl but really far away from each other, and what makes me really love this song is dat the feeling the writer is trying to express to the girl, how he misses her, the lonelyness etc, and dats the mood this song puts me into everytime i hear it
Words cant even explain how much i LOVE THIS SONG. It makes me cry whenever i hear it because you can really feel the emotion in his voice. I would do anything to be the girl who this song is about.
I think this song is about a couple who are always away from each other, and how hard it is to keep a long-distance relationship strong. He wants to stay with her, but can't help but feel the pain of the distance between them.
