I think it's about a man in a relationship who wronged his girlfriend or wife and now she's giving him the cold treatment. He's willing to apologize and seek forgiveness right to her face, and perhaps he's even willing to take the physical and verbal abuse she might dish out, if only she would face him.
I like the fact that you can choose to interpret it as "Can't take it back". Sneaky. :)
