It is about Piper, if not, Scott wrote a song that was loaded to her. Godot never came, at least during their freshman year at OU, when they were more than good friends. All about how Hollywood changed his dear "friend" and made her into something she never could have been on her own. Toad the wet sprocket? Wendy in Peter Pan? Make of it what you will, but it is from the pages of 1994-95 at kanter hall and mill street.

I think "Were you too shy to say what I wanted so badly to know" says it all, and it's my favorite line. I've felt like that so many times. Frightened sick of asking, but wanting so badly to know how the other person feels. There's an off chance that this is aoubt stalking a celeb though... think about it.

i think this song is about piper perabo--that girl from coyote ugly-- because her and the singer were good friends in college.

This song is well, self-explainable..and if you can't figure it out - say so, I'll give you the 411.

All I've got to say though is that..well, this song totally worked wonders in luring in and then in the end spitting out a "love" of my life - who broke my heart of course.

They all should be spit out...psh, heartbreakers.

I'm very happy with the reference to Toad the Wet Sprocket. And then Waiting for Godot, it's my assumption here that the actress (subject of his affection) had a part in that play at some point. The Veruca one...possibly Veruca Salt, as in Charlie and The Chocolate Factory? Or The band.
