Lips Like Sugar Lyrics
Grace on the water
Lips like sugar
Lips like sugar
Just when you think you've caught her
She glides across the water
She calls for you tonight
To share this moonlight
She'll ask you and you'll give her
Sugar kisses
Lips like sugar
Sugar kisses
I know what she's thinking
Sugar kisses
Sugar kisses
Just when you think she's yours
She's flown to other shores
To laugh at how you break
And melt into this lake
But you'll never give her
Sugar kisses
Lips like sugar
Sugar kisses
Reflect what I am
A loser and a winner
The King of Siam
And my Siamese twin
Alone on the river
Mirror kisses
Mirror kisses
Sugar kisses
Lips like sugar
Sugar kisses
Sugar kisses
Lips like sugar
Sugar kisses
Sugar kisses
Lips like sugar
Sugar kisses
This song is just sexy as hell. I agree the first verse is great, I love when he sings "just when you think you've caught her...she glides across the water" oh man, I'm a guy but it makes me wanna do him.
Exactly. And though he may not show his power and emotion in this particular song, he goes low, almost like he's whispering certain parts to you so the subject of the song doesn't hear. I mean... damn, hes good.
I was just dating this woman who's six feet tall and much taller than me. I told her she was as beautiful as a swan. Her lips were like sugar. Two weeks ago she invited me over and she made me soup when I wasn't feeling well and smooched around a bit. The next morning I got an email that she didn't a romantic relationship, she'd flown away when I thought she was mine. True for my life.
Ian's love songs are usually about cocaine, God, or infatuation. I'm betting on coke.
I'd agree with Wonder Ned- defintely coke. 'Mirror kisses' and 'my siamese twin'- seeing your own reflection while doing a line of coke.
For the listener, it's a sexy romantic song.
For Ian, it's probably a love letter to himself while on marching powder.
I love this Song!!!!
I must say the first verse of this song is genius. And Ian is one of the best vocalists ever, though he doesn't show that as much on this song. Anyway, it seems to be about a special, almost magical girl. She's not really a tease, she just doesn't care if men like her. She knows what they're doing, and pulls away at the last moment before they get close.
oh gosh yes his voice
it's so deep and so melty the opposite of everything that feels grinding or sharp when you hear it
yet his range is so brillant! i love him
melty... thats a good word for his voice..
