Commerce, TX Lyrics

I got a bad flavor
I got dirty cloths
I got a strange neighbor
Who doesn't have curtains on her windows

I got a pet hedgehog
Drinkin' jager all day
You got my Crate combo
And a baby on the way, but it's okay

It's gonna take a lot of time
Before I can cross that finish line
And when I can't take the fall
I really wanna make that call

That's my new best friend
Ann Disaster's her name
We're passin' out on the carpet
And our attributes are the same

It's the slacker lifestyle
That we do so well
Bills are due on Monday
And I, I'm oblivious, can't you tell?

It's gonna take a lot of time
Before I can cross that finish line
And when I can't take the fall
I really wanna make that call

My brain is super-fried
It involves pain to look inside

It's gonna take a lot of time
Before I can cross that finish line
And when I can't take the fall
I really wanna make that call

It's gonna take a lot of time
Before I can cross that finish line
And when I can't take the fall
I really wanna make that call

My brain is super-fried
It involves pain to look inside

It's gonna take a lot of time
Before I can cross that finish line
And when I can't take the fall
I really wanna make that call

This song isn't one of my favorites or anything, but seeing as no ones commented I think I will. This song personaly makes me think about times in my life when I havn't felt strong enough to move along by myself and have had to get someones help, I get that mostly from the chorus, but yea, thats what I get. Its a pretty nice sounding song..

"that’s my new best friend ann desaster’s her name we’re passin’ out on the carpet and our atributes are the same"

Whenever I listen to this song I always end up screaming this part and it makes me feel so freaking alive! It pretty much encompasses my feeling about drinking, friends, life, and everything right there in those 3 lines.

i love this song. i feel like it is about ben himself. like, all of his lyrics seem to talk about his life and like what he's going through but this one seems like about how he like dropped out of high school and stuff.
