Talkin' 'bout Jesus Lyrics
I once believed when I was only thirteen
They all laughed at me they all laughed at me
Can you believe what they're selling me
No sex no drugs no Satanism, can you believe
So there he was talking bout Jesus
He's in my face for all the wrong reasons
He's trying to clean my body of demons
But he won't save me
He Follows me starts to point and yell
You better give your soul to Jesus
Or you'll burn in hell
I believe it's dumb to fight
When we both know that I'm right
They all laughed at me they all laughed at me
No sex no drugs no Satanism, can you believe
He's in my face for all the wrong reasons
He's trying to clean my body of demons
But he won't save me
You better give your soul to Jesus
Or you'll burn in hell
When we both know that I'm right

so do these guys believe in Jesus? or do they not believe in Jesus? are these guys Jewish? they like mxpx, and they are a christian band. i'm really confused here.
where do you get the jewish thing from?
i think that this song is about the silly parts of religion. and how sometimes people try to force religion on you.
i dont hink this guy put a lot of thought into this song and just wrote what was in his head. not that i mean that in a bad way.
I always liked this song. Its one of my favorites by them along with Outta Control.
This song was written about growing up in the south where religion is forced upon you. The thing is on Broad street (the writer of this song is from Rome, ga and so am i), people will actually walk up to you and preach. Also, MxPx may be considered a christian band, but thats only because their lyrics are clean. I haven't heard anything too godly in any of MxPx's music. -Brittney
There is a song on MXPX's "The Everassing Moment" albume that is about religion(partially). I dont remember the name though........hm
