yeah basically this song is about addicts..as we all know that Hatebreed is straightforward and direct witht their message....and like all hatebreed songs its hardbiting and merciless..it basicallly stattes that its either you are with us or against us ..if you yield to your addiction you are against us ..you have betrayed your oath..and if anyone else takes pleasure in addictions and all that ....before you face me ...SLIT YOUR WRISTS AND DIE...

Hatebreed is not straightedge. Straightedge these days is just another way of saying "Cool kids don't do drugs. See how cool I am with my awesome tats that say "STRAIGHT-EDGE?" Only lu$ers do teh pot."
Hatebreed is against ADDICTION, since addiction is about weakness, surrendering of control, and a refusal to take personal responsibility. Addiction doesn't even require drugs, really...everybody's got some kind of crutch they use to prop themselves up because they're too weak to quit it.
Okay I hate to burst all your bubbles but your all totally wrong. The entire band is from New Haven county in Connecticut literally 10 minutes from my house. Countless people I know went to school with the members and they are by no means a straight edge band. This song is Jamey speaking to himself. Jamey battled with addiction for almost his entire life. If you read the booklet in the Supremacy CD Jamey talks about how he had relapsed and while he was on tour his addiction got worse and worse. He talks about how he used drugs to escape his problems and sorrows. He by no means hate addicts or looks down upon them. These songs are so angry and hate filled because he was so angry at himself for falling apart. If you don't believe it do some fucking research on the band before you say shit like that. Addiction is a disease, a very serious one that thousands of Americans struggle with everyday. I battled with addiction for 4 years and I celebrated by 21st birthday 1 year and 10 months clean thanks to this band right here. Because of songs like theirs I knew I could overcome my demons and that I wasn't a bad person just because I was an addict, it was the drugs that were bad not me and that's what Hatebreed helped me saved and very possibly saved my life that was completely drowned in Heroin addiction at 15. SO KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT BECAUSE JAMEY WOULD BE DISGUSTED BY SHIT LIKE THAT
hatebreed is by no means straight edge, i don't think i've ever heard that one before hahaha.
anyone who has ever dealt with addiction on a real level, knows that this song is about killing the addict you've become with the fucked up actions that destroy not only your life but the lives of those around you through your fucked up self-serving actions.
