I Can't Stop Your Memory Lyrics
I can't stop your memory
From breaking my heart
Devils were laughing so loud
I couldn't hear the radio
In the dark bags become
Sneaking devils waiting to pounce
And display impressive claws
I might wink at them before they land
I can hear my heart beat
Across the room, behind the closet door
When I'm laying in my bed in the dark
I can't gather all the love I need when I need it
I'm not mad, I understand that that's the price
And all is forgiven in the end
If your heart was in the right place
If you lived an honest life, if you tried
I can't stop your memory
From breaking my heart
Devils were laughing so loud
I couldn't hear the radio
From breaking my heart
Devils were laughing so loud
I couldn't hear the radio
Sneaking devils waiting to pounce
And display impressive claws
I might wink at them before they land
Across the room, behind the closet door
When I'm laying in my bed in the dark
I can't gather all the love I need when I need it
And all is forgiven in the end
If your heart was in the right place
If you lived an honest life, if you tried
From breaking my heart
Devils were laughing so loud
I couldn't hear the radio

☺I think the missing part is: One time did less harm alone I know the groups are evil
but it really sounds like: One time D less harm alone... why doesn't anybody have it?
no comments?
this song is fabulous. ab fab. couldnt begin to tell you what it means but why bother trying.
bask in it.
This song is a masterpiece. The beginning has you expetcing a timid love song but in true Of Montreal fashion it morphs into an energy filled sing-along song.
i think this song is about having your heartbroken, but realizing the person you were once infatuated with meant no harm. they just didn't have the same feelings.
sort of, except the lines:

leads me to believe the person writing the song has doubt in the other person's good intentions.

This song gives me the chills every time I listen to it. I think I agree with noiserevolution's analysis.
I can't stop your memory from breaking my heart.
