It's about the whole world needing to unite and this guy finds a way to do it through a "song". I say that b/c I don't think this is so much about an actual song as it is everyone on Earth being in harmony or peace ( the same otes, the same song). Or perhaps he just wants everyone to sing his song.

its written about that feeling you get when you write a song you really like. i know it myself. and it also contains part of that dream, that everyone will love your song and sing along. its just a song about wanting to write a song everyone loves.
itd be cool if everyone was humming the same song... you'd be able to make a lot of new friends "hey i know that song, too whats your name?" hehe.
