this is a beautiful song about someone who just wants to have the romantic moment with the person they like so much. at least, that's what i think...

I think it's about someone who's significant other is leaving to go somewhere, but is not showing any sign of sadness at staying.. and he wants her to look like she's sad shes leaving. Or he just wants for some reason to see a lot of emotion from her, either happiness in love, sadness in leaving, something. And also, the idea of getting stuck in the rain with someone.. that's just the classic romantic moment. Funny how it works.

i think they just want it to be a big thing. people leave and to them it seems huge but they want the classic goodbye. they want it to be obvious to everyone its goodbye and the world to end
