Texture Lyrics

Safe on the shore I've been sleeping
Faced by the thoughts I've been keeping
To break down the door of my life
I need more texture

You need to give me more texture, texture, texture
You need to give me more texture

So deep inside I've been dreaming
In a space too confined, too concealing
It's a race to remind you of days I can't find

You need to give me more texture, texture, texture
You need to give me more

To break down the door of my life
I need more texture

You need to give me more
You need to give me more
Texture, texture, texture
You need to give me more texture, texture

Cover art for Texture lyrics by Catherine Wheel

For me this is a song about someone who is bored with their present conditions (could be their lover, school, work); everything is too plain, too... smooth. The writer is a romantic and naive, wants complications, wants tragedy, wants to stop sleeping and dreaming and really live life to the fullest with all of its complications.

Those guitars...amazing...I love the build up to "break down the doors of my life". Such a great song.
