******* Lyrics
and the trumpets pounded in my ears
and the sun shone black as sackcloth of hair
and the path was paved with treachery
joy joy for i was received
in thy knock i heard an open door
and i brought the Lamb with the seven horns
the beasts and elders fell before the lamb
and the angels teemed ten thousand strong
the angels teemed ten thousand strong
and the armies flew upon the earth
and the locusts rose with the scorpions
and we were sealed according to our deeds
joy joy for i was received
in the dark I heard Omega call
for one to rise one first must fall
and the angels and the insects fed
and together made a man of men
and together made a man of men
amen.

this song is freakin awesome...listen to it asap
yeah, i really like this too. this song and orange rhyming dictionary convinced me to buy the album.
anyways, do you folks just call it "star star star (etc...)" or some other name for it.
I have always wondered why such a song like this would not have a real name. It's like that untitled extra song on "Dear you"....one of the best songs on the cd yet left as a bonus track unnamed......star star star would be the only name i can think of for it.....or we could call it "revelations"....anyway this song rocks.
i always figured that this song would be said as "seven stars" just cuz its like right after mid-day anonymous and they say seven stars! in that song.... and there are seven stars on the track name. but i'm probably wrong, like always....
I call it "seven stars". Because (like aleep in a star said) he singing "seven stars" in mid-day anonymous. And it could be also and ending for mid-day anonymous (it's in the same key, too). And mid-day anonymous ends VERY abruptly.
Does anybody know whether Blake beleives in God? He has several songs that are obviously about him, but I don't know whether he is Christian or not. Just curious
Blake refers to this song as *** , so i think thats what it's titled.
The song IS actually called "seven stars." Listen to the song "Mid-day Anonymous" which is the connecting track right before "***" and the lyric "seven stars! seven stars, the kingdom is ours." Now that that's settled my business here is done.
Wow. i had never made the connection between this and mid-day anonymous. I guess maybe because i had never counted the stars. I think this song is adorable.
Such a great song. I also wonder about Blake's take on God as God as come up in Blake's writing since he started. I always think of this song as a continuation of "mid-day." When I one day meet the great Blake, I will ask him my many questions...if JTB ever comes back.
