Hungry Lyrics
Where is her dinner?
Where are the flowers she can press?
When will she leave here?
Been here for hours and no less
Please leave me here in the empty world
Where is my mother?
Will she be there when I am gone?
Fetal in turmoil
I can't afford another run
Needle and tinfoil
I never thought that I'd be done
Please leave me here in the empty world
Fall in love with the empty girl
If I go outside I'll feel much better
Let me hit myself I'm starting to feel
And bleed
Where is my brother?
Where is my father?
Please leave me here in the empty world
Fall in love with the empty girl
Where are the flowers she can press?
When will she leave here?
Been here for hours and no less
Please leave me here in the empty world
Will she be there when I am gone?
Fetal in turmoil
I can't afford another run
Needle and tinfoil
I never thought that I'd be done
Fall in love with the empty girl
If I go outside I'll feel much better
Let me hit myself I'm starting to feel
Where is my father?
Fall in love with the empty girl

This song is about his struggle with a heroin addiction.
This song seems sad. I agree with kokoshka.
He's at the end of his rope, simple as that. He's gotten to the point where the only thing he can think about is heroin, and he doesn't have enough money for even a taste. His family has disowned him because of his addictions, and I think he is byond the point of carring. He's into deep to be sober long enough to realize what his life has come down too.
Heroin ? Yes...Mr. Navarro certainly has experience with that particular substance, and the imagery fits.
Much of his work, this song included and quite profoundly at that, are also influenced by and make allusions to the fact his mother was murdered when he was a teenager.
