you've got no selfesteme, and you think you're so mistreated.
you can't stand your face, and you cannot,
cannot believe that you cannot control your fate
(chorus)
this isn't what you wanted
someone to break you down every motherfucking day
it's not the life you wanted
someone to break you, someone to make you
bruises on your face, i guess you fell down the steps again
and that's such a shame, cause you let it,
you let it happen over and over again
(repeat chorus)
it's just another day, the last day he touches you again.
but that's the price he'll pay.
you pull the trigger, it all goes away in one determind flash
(repeat chorus)
(b-verse)
PAY!! close you eyes, you better, hold em' tight, you'll never,
don't keep telling yourself it''ll be alright, don't keep telling yourself it'll be alright.
(solo)
(repeat b verse)
you can't stand your face, and you cannot,
cannot believe that you cannot control your fate
this isn't what you wanted
someone to break you down every motherfucking day
it's not the life you wanted
someone to break you, someone to make you
and that's such a shame, cause you let it,
you let it happen over and over again
but that's the price he'll pay.
you pull the trigger, it all goes away in one determind flash
PAY!! close you eyes, you better, hold em' tight, you'll never,
don't keep telling yourself it''ll be alright, don't keep telling yourself it'll be alright.

this song is one of the best by Primer 55 it is about domestic abuse and about the victim getting redemption for all the pain the abuser has caused
i definately agree... this song is all about abuse and revenge... great song
I didn't know this song was about abuse, but in soooo many ways I can relate to this song. I can feel myself singing this song to myself. repeating this words in my mind. I KNOW HOW THS PERSON FEELS SO MUCH. Pain sucks man!!
I like this song, mucho coolness, Poop, tee hee..
i love this song, great sound to it. i dont relate to the abuse stuff but its great to rock out to :]
awesome lyrics
Hahaha... I always thought the lyrics went "but that's the price TO pay" and hence the person being abused shot themself. I thought the song was about how the victim gets to a point where they can't pull themself out of the bad relationship & about how ridiculous that seems.
Oh well, still a bloody good song.
The "determined flash" part reminds me of The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails "A lifetime of fucking things up fixed, in one, determined flash." I wonder if it's a coincidence?
