its definately about drugs... thats what was primarily on the bands minds at the time they wrote one hot minute, cos John had done too many, and the rest of them were feeling really down about it... loads of the OHM songs are about drugs or tragedies... And yeah, the kiss in the video IS sexy...
finding a replacement for John also made anthony depressed because it reminds him of Hillel... anthony had been hurt too many times by the effects of heroine (Hillel, John) and he just wants to stop but he doesnt think hes strong enough and hes embarrassed and ashamed
its about ak being hurt and drugs. but everytime someone says its about drugs they dont say what they mean. i mean that ak wa sscared og drugs at this time and was scared to face john and that put him down

It shouldn't in any way be considered the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. I REALLY wish that, 20 years safely down the road, they would release the "Deep Kick" documentary that was filmed during the production of One Hot Minute, the way "Funky Monks" was during Blood Sugar Sex Magic.
