Machine Head kicks ass....plain and simple
this song is pretty honest. but seriously, its no way near as good as the old stuff
Only reason MH released Burning Red and Supercharger was because Roadrunner said that they wanted short, radio friendly songs. They tried and as you can see, they do it badly. The meaning of this song is basically Rob in his high school years... yeah.
nothing wrong with supercharger and the burning red, i've been an MH fan since Burn My Eyes and personally I think that the burning red is the best, so to all of you wasting up space for us true MH fans

the burning red and supercharger are great albums(honest and real),and american hidh is an awesome song,a "high-school song"-so what?!!...MH is a great and creative band.
This song is Robb Flynn talking about his youth, what his childhood was like, and his desire to make a band cause it was all he was good at. He was the kid everyone poked fun at and bullied, but now he's a millionaire in a massive band.

wow am i glad MH finally ditched this stuff and released and went back to their roots
Get rid of most of Supercharger (trephination is awesome) and The Burning Red. Through the Ashes of Empires should have been their 3rd release. Still a bad ass band.
I agree trephination is good, as well as bulldozer, the rest of the album though is awful. This is probably the wrost song on the album and is a disgrace to the band.
