fuck you craigsbrother, Sepultura is fucking awesome, and just cuz' you have your head so far up your ass to see that, don't be fucking retarded...This is a fucking bad ass song, and even badder fucking band....Max.....fucking rules
The song is about knowing ourselves, our origins, blood, culture, and individuality, and being true to it. Posers, followers, or sellouts would likely never understand, so I guess that includes the majority of society. Never heard Pavarotti's, but prob be an interesting rendition. Actually heard Throwdown do this one on "Sounds of the Underground" tour as a tribute for Dimebag Darrell. Sepultura shoulda changed their name when Max left, but Cavaleira Conspiracy sure brings back memories of better days. Max is a bad MF who has made some brilliant contributions to music in the past 20+ years, and Iggor made me wanna start playing some real drums, not the "Lars" style.
Now here´s something I don´t understand, why has this song become so damn popular? Roots aint even a real killer album like Beneath The Remains (witch really ruled), actually the only song I like from this album is ratamahatta, but I just don´t understand what´s so great about this song - It only sounds boring

This is a good song but definently not Sepultura's best....I agree with hunger for more...Beneath the remains kills Roots..
Different opinions here - I for one think Chaos AD and Roots are much better than anything else Sepultura made. But hey, let's enjoy the band... we need to stay united in these hard times. Let's have the luxury to fight over what's best when we turn the tv on and there's Sepultura, Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer etc. on MTV / other mainstream channel. Until then, it's all fine.

THIS SONG IS PRETTY GOOD... ALTHOUGH I RECON CHAOS AD AND BENEATH THE REMAINS ARE BOTH BETTER ALBUMS THAN ROOTS... ROOTS BLOODY ROOTS IS THE ONLY GOOD 1 ON ROOTS... I THINK RATAMAHATTA IS PRETTY CRAP HONESTLY
I like this song and the album, but it's by far the weakest Max-era Sepultura album.
