Air Traffic Control Lyrics
Air traffic control, it's me
Coach-class, row thirteen
I've got this sinking feeling
Is everything alright?
Stare at the wing and think
It's later than i think
Look at these passengers
If there's babies, I'll survive
It's hard to be
A passenger for me
You know I'm always looking down
I will compose this note
In case I don't come home
I'm thinking of you
Before the plane goes down
If I forgot to say
I loved you every day
Know I've been keeping track
In my quiet way
It's hard to fly
If you don't believe all the time
I know I sometimes let you down
It's hard to see
Something that's so close to me
But I'll see you in my dreams
I'm feeling turbulence
No one else sees
I'll see you in my dreams
I'll see you in my dreams
Coach-class, row thirteen
I've got this sinking feeling
Is everything alright?
It's later than i think
Look at these passengers
If there's babies, I'll survive
A passenger for me
You know I'm always looking down
In case I don't come home
I'm thinking of you
Before the plane goes down
I loved you every day
Know I've been keeping track
In my quiet way
If you don't believe all the time
I know I sometimes let you down
Something that's so close to me
But I'll see you in my dreams
No one else sees
I'll see you in my dreams
I'll see you in my dreams

this is such a sweet song...I love jets to brazil
I really like this song...I was wondering, the line that goes "if there's babies I'll survive": Does anybody know if that's referring to the John Cusack/Ione Skye movie 'Say Anything'? In the film, it's kind of a big deal about how she's afraid to fly, but thinks if there's babies on the plane, it can't crash, and I was wondering if that's where the line came from or if that's just a common belief. Good song, either way!
i think it's just common belief... but say anything is the greatest movie ever.. and this song effing rocks
It's just a common belief. People always say that there could not be a cruel enough God to allow a plane to crash that has babies as passengers. I love this song, it makes me laugh because I am so so terrified to fly. I'm flying in like, June..and I pretty much base my life around that date now. "I'm going to get my hair cut in August..." * "Oh, that sucks..I'll be dead by then.."
I like how Blake slipped in 'coach class row 13' Great song.
I love the guitar part where it sounds like a plane actually going down...did anyone else catch that?? This song is so amazing.
he is writing a letter to air traffic control, his lover, and god. just my idea
I flew to Austin and back just the other day...
Everytime we went up and came down (quite a few times - stopovers/missed flights) I'd sing this song...kept me calm. It's a great song.
Jets to Brazil is definitely an amazing band. Catchy/quality lyrics...awesome.
I always listen to Four-Cornered Night, and this song when I travel on plane's. It's my travel CD. I hate flying and it always comforts me, especcially(sp?) when I last flew and I was in coach class row 13 both ways. I definatly think of it as a letter to various people and his hope that he won't die is a painful, firey death.
