Walk Through the Fire Lyrics
I touch the fire, and it freezes me
I look into it, and it's black
Why can't I feel?
My skin should crack and peel
I want the fire back
Now, through the smoke, she calls to me
To make my way across the flame
To save the day
Or maybe melt away
I guess it's all the same
So I will walk through the fire
Because where else can I turn?
I will walk through the fire
And let it . . .
The torch I bear is scorching me
Buffy’s laughing, I've no doubt
I hope she fries
I'm free if that bitch dies
I better help her out
Because she is
Drawn to the fire
Some people . . .
She will never learn
And she will walk through the fire
And let it . . .
Will this do a thing to change her?
Am I leaving Dawn in danger?
Is my Slayer too far gone to care?
What if Buffy can't defeat it?
Beady eyes is right, we're needed
Or we could just sit around and glare
We'll see it through
It's what we're always here to do
So we will walk through the fire
So one by one, they turn from me
I guess my friends can't face the cold
What can't we face?
But why I froze
Not one among them knows
And never can be told
She came from the grave much graver
One by one, they come to me
First, I’ll kill her, then I’ll save her
Everything is turning out so dark
Going through the motions
No, I’ll save her, then I’ll kill her
I think this line's mostly filler
What's it going to take to strike a spark?
It's what they have inside
She will come
These endless days
Are finally ending in a blaze
And we are caught in the fire
The point of no return
So we will walk through the fire
And let it burn
Let it burn
Let it burn
And let it burn!
I look into it, and it's black
Why can't I feel?
My skin should crack and peel
I want the fire back
Now, through the smoke, she calls to me
To make my way across the flame
To save the day
Or maybe melt away
I guess it's all the same
Because where else can I turn?
I will walk through the fire
And let it . . .
Buffy’s laughing, I've no doubt

Let it burn
Let it burn
And let it burn!

I think this comment is mostly filler
even though its just a random song from a musical...its got more meaning in there than most rock songs, and it makes me want to cry coz the lyrics are really really good
I love this. I think the ending is the funniest thing ever with the firetrucks zooming by when they're saying "Let it burn" :P Personally I thought this is the best song from the episode. I love Spike in this, he gets so mad and then he goes to help her!! :P I love Spike... He's da bomb, yo! ...
"I hope she fries, I'm free if that bitch dies I better help her out "
love the song. best in the ep. that line in particular actually has real meaning fer me. whole thing drags up some nostalgia. won't bore y'all w/ details. good song!
giles is out of tune on the word "gone" cuz it's out of his range which i find really stupid for them to have written that. there are other notes that could have worked that could have been in his range, stupid.
great song tho, great lyrics.
i kno...its soooo sad :,(
this song is an awesome song, its someaingful...
deep. these guys HAVE something. Most effective musical ive ever seen on TV.
i really love the way she says "through"... she puts the accent very well, if you think about it... very good song, as well as all the whole cd.
"Buffy's laughing I've no doubt"... James, James, James! Even if you are playing a posh boy doing a north london accent, the character is still from the south! It's "larfing" we pronounce 'a's' like that 'aaar' ....
You act like you're the only person to have ever heard an English accent. I pronounce it like he does in the song and I'm British. Plus it's Spike. He can talk however he wants- he's bad-ass.
