Under Your Spell Lyrics
I lived my life in shadow
Never the sun on my face
It didn't seem so sad, though
I figured that was my place
Now I’m bathed in light
Something just isn't right
I’m under your spell
How else could it be
Anyone would notice me?
It's magic, I can tell
How you set me free
Brought me out so easily
I saw a world enchanted
Spirits and charms in the air
I always took for granted
I was the only one there
But your power shone
Brighter than any I’ve known
I’m under your spell
Nothing I can do
You just took my soul with you
You worked your charm so well
Finally, I knew
Everything I dreamed was true
You made me believe
The moon to the tide
I can feel you inside
I’m under your spell
Surging like the sea
Wanting you so helplessly
I break with every swell
Lost in ecstasy
Spread beneath my willow tree
You make me com-plete
You make me com-plete
You make me com-plete
You make me -
Never the sun on my face
It didn't seem so sad, though
I figured that was my place
Now I’m bathed in light
Something just isn't right
How else could it be
Anyone would notice me?
It's magic, I can tell
How you set me free
Brought me out so easily
Spirits and charms in the air
I always took for granted
I was the only one there
But your power shone
Brighter than any I’ve known
Nothing I can do
You just took my soul with you
You worked your charm so well
Finally, I knew
Everything I dreamed was true
I can feel you inside
Surging like the sea
Wanting you so helplessly
I break with every swell
Lost in ecstasy
Spread beneath my willow tree
You make me com-plete
You make me com-plete
You make me -

sighs This is so sweet...Tara is singing to Willow about her love for her. Amber Benson (Tara) has such a pretty voice, and hits the high notes effortlessly. However, how Joss Whedon and co. got the "Floating O" scene past the censors is anybodys guess...cunning linguists, indeed g
Way to go Amber! How I love this song! She should persue a singing carreer, 'cause she's really good! "You make me complete" They really do (did). I want them to stay together!!! Too bad Joss has a different idea about that. :(
Loved this song. Amber Benson has such a magical voice, and she looked so pretty when she was singing it.
this song was great, but it was very sly of Joss. the way the separated complete was yet another great underlying 'joke'. i think he just likes getting these things in. FeyTH i'm with u. Tara and Willow made the best couple. i cant think of anyone in the whole of the buffy-verse ever who were better suited, and i am never thought i'd think that at first cause of what a big seth fan i am. oh well, grieving Willow next season :'(
i hope they figure out how to fit tara back into the show - thru flashbacks or maybe she could communicate to willow thru magic. this song completely embodies their relationship.
I love the way that this song is initally very happy, but by the end of the episode the lyrics have taken on a different meaning completely.
Very cute love song, and just fits perfectly with what Tara's life was really like. Willow doing spells on her, and her blissfully unaware. Cute yet sad at the same time.
GNNNGNG! I love tara and her and willow were ADORABLE TO THE EXTREME but do you know how many people wrote in to joss saying they would stop watching the show after they first kissed (hello where were they during that TOTALL subliminal spell scene when buffy and faith switch bodies?) Great song Amber has a great voice... hmmm... i wish oz could have stayed in the show :(
left me with one major question. how, oh how, does one do that whole "light as a feather, stiff as a board" thing when ones tongue is, shall we say, otherwise occupied? i think the mantra's kinda important. just my two bits.
i love her voice
