I think this song describes feelings of pain, suffering, heartbreak, Sceptisism, confusion, anguish, emptiness, dissapointment, sadness, dissillusion, depression, regret, loneliness, hopelessness, doubt. It sounds like someone who has lived such a life of pain, that all hope has been diminished. Feelings of mistrust in others, feelings of being alone, feelings of deception, and being cheated in life, wanting to understand life. [and death]feelings of being rejected, and abandoned. Denying belief in God , because how could God allow such suffering. Denying the Devil becaus there simply cannot be the Devil without god as well. There is no good, there is no evil. Just life, and death, and no one cares if you live or die. That what this song is about in my opinion..
