i always thought this song was about cocaine. hence the street name "white girl." .... "oh this girl's got a grip on mee."

Richard recently did an interview stating this album details his affair with D’Arcy Wretzky while she was married to Kerry Brown. So, yeah, this is about him yearning for her when she was married. He refers to her as his favorite piece of plastic held to his ear because they spent a lot of time talking on the phone while they were both on the road.

Woo! Nice chorus. Can't relate to this, though. Women are evil.
