You On My Mind In My Sleep Lyrics
You aint ever seen
the way to find your dreams
Forget what's within's within
till you've been you've been
If all we lose is the skin
I'm putting you under within
We're gonna make this life together
The symptoms are too deep
I got you on my mind in my sleep
you on my mind in my sleep
Do you know how hard i tried
to lose this foolish pride
Can you take me as i am
Can you understand me
I'm changing now
If all we lose is the skin
I'm putting you under within
We're gonna make this life together
The symptoms are too deep
I got you on my mind in my sleep
you on my mind in my sleep
Sometimes i'm too deep Yeah Yeah Yeah
Without it Shining outta my mind
the way to find your dreams
Forget what's within's within
till you've been you've been
I'm putting you under within
We're gonna make this life together
I got you on my mind in my sleep
you on my mind in my sleep
to lose this foolish pride
Can you take me as i am
Can you understand me
I'm changing now
I'm putting you under within
We're gonna make this life together
I got you on my mind in my sleep
you on my mind in my sleep
Without it Shining outta my mind

i find it very difficult to listening to the 1st album because it strikes a chord and i start crying. it's very clear and pure
to me, this song's about the moment when you realize wow maybe i really do love this person. 'on my mind in my sleep' that's a whole lot of thinkin to be doing about one person, ya know
First this is a beautiful song, very much something Verve could have done together on Urban Hymns. I just like the sentiment of this song. It's a total declaration of love, with all those little "am I good enough?" questions that surface running through out the song. Quite lovely really.
"If all we lose is the skin, I'm putting you under within", what a great romantic line. To come up with a lyric like that shows how much he must feel for this person. Ashcroft is a total genius. A great poet as well as a great musician.
I think this is the best song of Richard Ashcrofts solo career, it should of been a single!
I agree with soulsearcher.... he is a great poet and a musical genius :-)
i have no idea how many times i cried listening to this song. my ex, the love of my life, gave it to me years ago. made me feel so speechless. so honest and so pure. what we've lost b.,wont ever be recovered. thats a real tragedy.
Pure bliss... This song is gorgeous! gets the water works happening at times when i think about how much I love someone that I just can't have! It's a long story but I can't give him what he needs and its too hard for us to be together... it sucks! This song however, is one of my favourites and i agree with Charon, quite lovely really!
