Brave New World Lyrics

Into the brave new world
I hope i see you on the other side
This changing world

Baby when my ship pulls in
I try to believe in anyone
Look at the state i'm in .

But for now i'm just sitting at the table
Hearing songs , wishing i was able , stable

NAH NAH NAH NAH NAH x 3

I hope i see you on the other side x 2

Instrumental break

Brother don't try to find
Don't try to believe in anyone
Or i would change your mind

Baby when my ship pulls in
i try to believe in anyone
Look at the state i'm in , i'm fine

But for now i'm just sitting at the table
Hearing songs , wishing i was able , stable

NAH NAH NAH NAH NAH x 6

I hope i see you on the other side x6

But for now i'm just sitting at the table
Hearing songs , wishing i was able , stable

Brave new world x 3

NAH NAH NAH NAH NAH x 6

I hope I see you on the other side x6

Someone coming off drugs maybe? The Brave New World could be a life fee and clean of drugs, "I hope i see you on the other side" could be speaking of a gf/mate who is trying to stop at the same time and he hope that he/she can do it aswell along with him.

Just my take on it.

it seems to me, as i read the book and heard the song about the same time, that it is based upon the book 'brave new world,' especially where its like 'but for now, i'm just sitting round the table. hearing songs and wishing i was able, stable'. this is a scene that happens in the book when he goes to a cult sort of meeting. the protagonist is quite insecure and doesn't see himself as being up to par with those around him. also, the main idea surrounding the 'brave new world' is stability, something which the protagonist also lacks.

but thats probably too obvious

could be about a person changing their life around and that special person has seen the change

I think when he says "brave new world" he is referring to life without someone that he loves dearly. I think this song is a parting wish fueled by love and emotion. I think he is forced into this new world without her, is afraid of it but knows there is nothing he can do about it so all he can do at the moment is wish that he could change things but he can't and if he can't see her again then he hopes to see her when they die... or perhaps its a touch of hope... as in, once they've both been launched into this new world without each other they'll have their adventures but ultimately end up back to where they both came from.

I didnt really clarify what I meant by 'end up back where they both came from.' I meant it as in... back together.

This album was released in 2000 and people thought that the year 2000 would be the end of the world. But it didn't end and it's a new century resulting in a new world with many things in this century to come.

This is a very soft and wonderful song tho.
