This song, is a masterpeice. One of the greatest songs I've ever heard. I do believe it means that when someone fell in love with someone else, that person didnt love them. And it also points to the fact of somewhat of a breakup. Too bad Skycamefalling broke up, they could've been so great....
It's not that they could've been so great, they were and still are great to me. This song is definitely a favorite of mine-- the sandcastles the writer speaks about are extremely fragile and it's inevitable that they'd be brought back to sea no matter how intricately they were built. It's basically a one-way love story, portraying the person he loves as his ruin waiting to happen. This song truly is a masterpiece and what's so beautiful about it is that it's open to interpretation and people could come up with like a million different explanations of this work.
Possibly my absolute favorite song of all time. The emotion in this song is unmatched. Great, great band and amazing song/lyrics. They will be missed.
