We'll Always Have Paris Lyrics
Baby, I know you hate it when I call you that
But it's the only word that half-describes the way you're acting tonight
And at the restaurant, where all your ghosts still haunt you just like you feared
Under this table all these years they stayed, waiting for your return
Your cigarette to burn their whole world through
A thousand things you thought they'd do
And everytime you call I feel worse
Throwing chairs, stolen rings, frozen air
And as I walked away I heard you say, "You're not the only one"
And as I watch you sleep it's hard for me, to keep from waking you
To tell you everything I did
And when I listen to you breathe I know exactly what you have always needed and wanted from me
And every time you're here it gets worse
Throwing chairs, stolen hearts, tasteless air
I waited all day at the cafe but you never came
And the hearts of the faithful that died on this table
Have left me with nothing at all to hold onto
But I want to hold on too, but I have got to hold on to you
Throwing chairs, broken rings, open air
I waited all day at the cafe but you never came
But it's the only word that half-describes the way you're acting tonight

I love Commander Venus. I wish I could find a CD of their's sitting around in a store or something...
This Is Such A Great Song. I Swear He Is F-ing God.
Ok Since Every Body Else In The World Appears To Be Dead I Will Comment On The Song. To Me This Song Is About Cheating On A Girl And Feeling Bad About It. The First Verse I See As A Dream He Had. Then At The End Of The Song. His "Girlfriend" Finds Out And Leaves Him. The Last Line Hits Me Way Hard Every Time "I Waited All Day At The Cafe, But You Never Came" Does Any Body Have The Lyrics For "Bent On Broken Nerves"?
noahst7 thats what i thought
All i ever really listen to druing the whole song is :
And the hearts of the faithful..who dies on this table, have left me with nothing..at all to hold on to ..at all to hold on to..at all to hold on to..but i want to hold on to..but I've got..to..hold..on....to you..!"
it's just the sadest verse in a song i've ever heard.
i love the little guitar fills. hell, i love this whole song. it gives me one of those emotional overloads, you know? fuckin sick.
