Catch me as I fall
Say you're here and it's all over now
Speaking to the atmosphere
No one's here and I fall into myself

This truth drives me
Into madness
I know I can stop the pain
If I will it all away
If I will it all away

Don't turn away (don't give in to the pain)
Don't try to hide (though they're screaming your name)
Don't close your eyes (God knows what lies behind them)
Don't turn out the light (you never sleep, never die)

I'm frightened by what I see
But somehow I know
That there's much more to come
Immobilized by my fear
And soon to be
Blinded by tears
I can stop the pain
If I will it all away
If I will it all away

Don't turn away (don't give in to the pain)
Don't try to hide (though they're screaming your name)
Don't close your eyes (God knows what lies behind them)
Don't turn out the light (you never sleep, never die)

Fallen angels at my feet
Whispered voices at my ear
Death before my eyes
Lying next to me, I fear

She beckons me, shall I give in?
Upon my end shall I begin
Forsaking all I've fallen for
I rise to meet my end

Don't turn away (don't give in to the pain)
Don't try to hide (though they're screaming your name)
Don't close your eyes (God knows what lies behind them)
Don't turn out the light (you never sleep, never die)

(Servatis a periculum) don't turn away (don't give in to the pain)
(Servatis a maleficum) don't try to hide (though they're screaming your name)
(Servatis a periculum) don't close your eyes (God knows what lies behind them)
(Servatis a maleficum) don't turn out the light (you never sleep, never die)

(Servatis a periculum) don't turn away (don't give in to the pain)
(Servatis a maleficum) don't try to hide (though they're screaming your name)
(Servatis a periculum) don't close your eyes (God knows what lies behind them)
(Servatis a maleficum) don't turn out the light (you never sleep, never die)

Servatis a periculum
Servatis a maleficum
Servatis a periculum
Servatis a maleficum
Servatis a periculum
Servatis a maleficum
Servatis a periculum
Servatis a maleficum
Servatis a periculum
Servatis a maleficum
Servatis a periculum
Servatis a maleficum
Servatis a periculum

This song is def a twin to "Unfair" (a song she has been quoted as saying is about falling in love with someone who is already in a relationship) so it is presumably about the same person. Given the references to buying an apartment and not being able to see her love interest "after tonight," it's most likely that she's moving away and she'll "wait a day to break the bad news" (i.e. notifying him that she's leaving once she's already gone). And, of course, the fact that she sees in him a fellow "idealist" and "dreamer" (terms commonly given to people with the INFP personality on the Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)) portends that she'll always be left wondering if they would've been perfect together.

This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.
