I don't think it is limited to drug addiction, drug addiction may be part of the theme of the song but I think it has to deal with desire more in general. At least thats what I thought when I first looked at the lyrics. I don't see why the name of the song would fit if it were just about drugs... interal primates forever meaning we act and are controlled by our desires and not by rational thought.
Great song, Mudvayne is a great band and I look forward to their new album due in 2005.
