Edge Of The World Lyrics

Come here, my love
I'll tell you a secret
Come closer, now
I want you to believe it
I'll tell you all the things
You want to hear
Don't worry, baby
There's nothing to fear
Hey, little girl
Would you like some candy?
Look into my eyes
I've seen it all
Hand in hand
Together we fall
We'll sing and dance
And we'll find romance
And we'll stroll to the edge of the world
Come sit right down
Lay your head on my shoulder
It's not the point
That I'm forty years older
You can trust me
I'm no criminal
But I'd kill my mother
To be with you
We'll sing and dance
And we'll find romance
And we'll stroll to the edge of the world
Give me a smile
Let me see those pearlies
I'll do anything
For the little girlies...

I think it is about a paedophile. It's fairly obvious all the way through. "Would you like some candy" "I've seen it all". But I think this just makes the song better. If anything, they're making fun of paedophiles.

When I heard this song, I thought it was about someone of adult age, like 22ish, falling in love with a minor, like 17, 18ish...I thought it said "it's not the point/that I'm FOUR years older" I thought it was a beautiful song.......................WOW. Big big change. It's about some freaky pedifile, one in which would kill his mother to be bangin' little girls....

When I finally started paying attention the lyrics to this sing, I laughed my ass off.

I don't classify this as a pedophile song but more along the lines of a Lolita situation! Not really a little kid but a more like a teenager and a much older man.

When I just listen to the music in this song, it's beautiful, romantic, sexy...

Then the lyrics truly sink in, and it's a mixture of disturbing, hilarious, and just plain genius. I gotta admit, the song just wasn't the same for me once I paid attention to the lyrics.

DAMN YOU MIKE PATTON!

AND AT THE SAME TIME, HAIL MIKE PATTON!

yeah its sarcastic to pedos who find a whole romance aspect to this sick crap. thats the why the songs presented in such a smooth way

Once saw a stripper get her kit off to this song. Very hot!!!

I think it was just Patton foreshadowing his little situation with that 13 year old

nono, i think this whole little girlies thing is just metaphorical... or ironic... this song sounds like a beautiful love song, until that creepy last line comes up... i think, if FNM would make a song about pedifiles, it would sound more freaky.

I'd be inclined to agree if you said "I think if Mr Bungle would make a song about paedophiles it would sound more freaky" lol but I doubt "little girlies" is metaphorical when following after "it's not the point that I am forty years older"

Such an awesome song. I have The Real Thing on a tape ... I think I'll go put it on just to listen to this song. I was in love with it the first time I heard it, but ... wow, that thing about it being a pedophile ... that does make a lot of sense. Creepy...
