This song is about a suicide I heard, with a very tongue-in-cheek message to the departed. He shows lots of anger and regret: "I will do everything in my power to make sure that this little stunt of yours Gets you absolutely nowhere But I guess I’m really talking to myself here" That line pretty much sums up the song, his overall anger, and though he's not trying to let it show it, regret.
I love this song for being a light-hearted eulogy. It's so cliche to have a ballad in rememberence of someone who died. "Party cruise on the River Styx" and the general tone of the song mean that the dead person probably wasn't well-liked.
