Land Of Sunshine Lyrics

You have a winning way, so keep it
Your future
You are an angel heading for the land of sunshine
And fortune is smiling upon you

Prepare for a series of comfortable miracles
From fasting to feasting
And life to you is a dashing bold adventure
So sing and rejoice
And look for the dream that keeps coming back
Your future
Pat yourself on the back and give yourself a handshake
'Cause everything is not yet lost

Does life seem worthwhile to you?

HERE'S HOW TO ORDER!

Yes, mmm hmm, now for the next question
Does emotional music have quite an effect on you?
Do you feel sometimes like age is against you?
Sing and rejoice and sing and rejoice
Yes, hmm hmm, that's interesting.
But tell me, do you often sing or whistle just for fun?
Do you feel sometimes like age is against you?
I, I can help - I can help you - I can help you help yourself!

Does life seem worthwhile to you?

HERE'S HOW TO ORDER!

Varicose
Comatose
Senile

machwon is correct. this song contains specific references to the OCA personality test.

if patton did say it was from fortune cookies, it was probably to avoid being guilty of copyright violation. if he didn't say it, people may have assumed that the lines came from "fortune cookies" because the term "land of sunshine" reminds them of the japanese flag? and perhaps they are making a connection to oriental food somehow? just a wild guess.

the "land of sunshine" he refers to is depicted on the cover of the following book, which further confirms the connection to the OCA test.

really good song, taking the piss out of scientology totaly. the questions he askes after he says "heres how to order" are all questions you get asked when being audited (or groomed to be audited?) by the church of scientology. they are designed to make you feel like you need help or are wierd because you sing to your self etc etc. Patton kicks arse!

This song doesn't really mean anything, its a collection of fortune cookie sayings and Scientology quesitons. Brilliant!

I usually hate it when people just post this but i just really don't have anything else to say other then I just love this band and nonsense and insanity that touches every song!

i wasn't aware of M.P.'s sleep dep but I always thought that this song was about how phony all that self-help/scientologist/evangelist/infomercial crap is. and that peole who need it are comatose, varicosse and senile. eg.quite often it is the older folx that need that sort of thing to make life seem worthwhile

He wrote this and Caffeine while sitting and watching pr0n for three days, right? Check out the lyrics to Patton's other band, Mr. Bungle's song "Girls of Porn". Don't they remind you of the same subject?

Awesome song. I think it's about Scientology seeing as this song screams 'insane'. Afterall, scientology is basically like de-therapy.. if that makes sense.
