Hit the Skids or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Rock Lyrics
say what you want to say to me
i don't know who you know
but that'll change eventually
i wanna know who you know
wanna see what you say and have a field day today
don't need a reason
wanna go where you go
wanna see what you say and have a field day today
i wanna go
i'm all alone
once you've been for a skid
i'm all alone
doing everything you did
no one cares and no one calls
but the party in the bathroom stall
everyone is telling jokes that i don't get at all
i'm all alone
hey, whatcha wanna pay for me?
i'm in love with rock'n'roll
but that'll change eventually
i wanna know who you know
wanna see what you say and have a field day today
don't need a reason
wanna go where you go
wanna see what you say and have a field day today
i wanna go
i'm all alone
once you've been for a skid
i'm all alone
doing everything you did
no one cares and no one calls
but the party in the bathroom stall
no one's gonna call a number written on the wall
i'm all alone
no one cares and no one calls
but the party in the bathroom stall
no one's gonna call a number written on the wall
i'm all alone
i don't know who you know
but that'll change eventually
i wanna know who you know

The title to this song is a spoof off of "Dr. Strangelove," or "How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb." It's an old Stanley Kubrick film, but I don't think it has anything to do w/ the meaning of the song; I think it's just a clever title.
It's all about trying to fit in with a new group of people...and sucking at it. I think we've all been there.
Its about an outcast trying to fit in saying that he's just like you and we all should be friends because everyone wants to listen to rock n roll, have a good time, and party
