Sleep Machine Lyrics

somethings melt away as night dissolves to day
somethings only stay silent darkness slowly kills me
i turn to you and stir your blank expression
youre the one for me
help me get to sleep nighty night goodnight

thing isn't right
seems that every night i need you
more and more you take me away
more and more i need you to stay
more and more distract me from the instant loss of
light
more and more
i need you tonight . .
come let's go for awhile
and pretend you're mine for a while
come let's go . .
more and more you take me away
more and more i need you to stay
more and more distract me from the instance loss of
light
more and more i need you

this is one of my favorites by PP. i think the lyrics are pretty self-explanitory, it's about needing someone. but i just wanted to say that i really like this song.

Actually, Jaques from the band said this...

"Jacques: A lot of people think this is a cheesy love song. But it’s actually about my love/hate relationship with my television. For a while, I couldn’t fall asleep unless the TV was on."

I liked the song more after I read that :)

I am usually not one for sappy love songs, but I really like this song, and although I find the idea that it is about tv quite hilarious, it also kind of ruins the song for me. I was happy in my little world where it was about someone, and not something.

There is too much emotion in his voice when he is singing for me to want to believe it is about something so materialistic.

TV?! that makes more sense now!! right at the very beginning of the song, it seems as if a TV show host is saying something...

I LOVE THIS SONG!
