Sweetheart Lyrics
The devil makes work
For idle hands to do
He can take these hands
If they're not touching you
And these lips of mine
Would rather turn to stone
Than kiss another now that you are gone
Sweetheart
I'm so alone
Sweetheart
When are you coming home
Sweetheart
I'm so alone
Sweetheart
When are you coming home
I know that love's
A many splendoured thing
If loses it's charm
Without the joy you bring
And happiness
Can be an empty term
But i've found heaven nestling in your arms
And now you've gone
Sweetheart I'm so alone
When are you coming home
Sweetheart I'm so alone
When are you coming home
When are you coming home
Sweetheart I'm so alone
When are you coming home
Sweetheart I'm so alone
When are you coming home ...
For idle hands to do
He can take these hands
If they're not touching you
Would rather turn to stone
Than kiss another now that you are gone
I'm so alone
Sweetheart
When are you coming home
I'm so alone
Sweetheart
When are you coming home
A many splendoured thing
If loses it's charm
Without the joy you bring
And happiness
Can be an empty term
But i've found heaven nestling in your arms
Sweetheart I'm so alone
When are you coming home
Sweetheart I'm so alone
When are you coming home
When are you coming home
When are you coming home
Sweetheart I'm so alone
When are you coming home ...

This is a fabulous song. I love the heavy bass and the triphop feel. I think the lyrics are pretty self explanitory. Her voice is so haunting. It's like she's singing just inside your head. The harmonies are simple but effective.
To me, this is a very sad song, which often reminds me of a loved one I lost; she died from cancer, and I couldn't accept she was gone, I thought for a very long time I wouldn't be able to love someone else. I definitely thought I would never need my lips again to kiss somebody or something like this.
The feeling gradually vanished, although I'm still not all over it, but the song always makes me think of it.
