ok, imFLiPPiNroyalty in relation to your question, the way i see it he doesnt want to admit that cares so much about her, maybe in front of his mates, maybe it would scare her, i dunno, its just how i interpretted it.
its a great song, which tells a good story which im sure alot of us could relate to.

i think the "you're mine, right now" part means that he doesn't want to say "right now." he wants it to be forever and not just for that moment.

For me this is a touching song... The first verse is kind of trying to say you never wanted that "someone" to go and that everything you've done had always been for them. The the second verse really hits home for me because I am a worrier and I sit alone in my room every day and worry about the future and give people my trust who screw me over.
