One More Suicide Lyrics
Christopher O' Malley went out on a bridge
Down in Chehalis
And clutching his bible and a letter from her
Fell into the river
Pity no one was there
No angels in the air
And the morning paper ran
One more suicide
His mama stayed by the river side
Down in Chehalis
And clutching her bible and a letter from him
Fell into crying
Pity no one was there
No angels in the air
And the morning paper ran
One more suicide
Pity no one was there
No angels in the air
And the morning paper ran
One more suicide
One more suicide
One more suicide
Down in Chehalis
And clutching his bible and a letter from her
Fell into the river
Pity no one was there
No angels in the air
And the morning paper ran
One more suicide
Down in Chehalis
And clutching her bible and a letter from him
Fell into crying
Pity no one was there
No angels in the air
And the morning paper ran
One more suicide
No angels in the air
And the morning paper ran
One more suicide
One more suicide
One more suicide

When I was in kindergarten there was a kid in my class....I don't remember a whole lot about him, but I remember him always sitting by himself during lunch and movie time, that kind of stuff. Well he and his family moved after that one year I knew him...I don't remember where to...but a few years ago the kids that were in his class that still went to school here all got called to the office. They told us when we got up there that he had killed himself, and they told us the date of the service and what not. Granted I never really knew him, this song makes me think about him.
@halffast @halffast so sad if only one person sat with him even once maybe he would still be alive when did we teach our children it is ok to ignore a hurting person or a lonely person when did we tell them it is ok to be cruel and indifferent I had a very rough childhood and I teach my children today to be everything they should be everything that all parents should insist their children to be kind and brace for the ones that aren't for themselves to stand up for what is right and decent in fact there...

This song is so folksy, but the subject is just damn depressing. The narrative about a man killing himself and his mother giving up is chilling. Good song.
