This song is about John's old girlfriend Sherry Fraser which he made an album with in the early 90's called Zog Bogbean.
This is a fucking awesome song and it makes me want to cry every time I listen to it because I want someone to be that beautiful to me. . .
I love this song....always makes me think of a girl I was really good friends with when I was younger, and I always had the biggest crush on her growing up...all through elementary and junior high, and over the years she just drifted away from me. We graduated a few months ago...and now I don't see her at all. It sorta makes ya sad....to think at 10 years old I knew there was something special about that girl...and then 9 years later all I can think about is what if. Oh well...
Looking around in the CD thing, I found that Sherry Fraser is someone that helped. If she helped them, than how do you explain the "Please come back"?
